Bridges, A. Cheek, R. Colclough, B. Hankerson, W. Mays, G. Kolb, Administrator, H. Wall, Attorney, M. Blanchard, IT, L. Bonner, Clerk of Commission. ABSENT: L. Beard, member and B. Young, Mayor. MEDIA: S. Eidson, Metro Spirit; R. Jones, Augusta Focus; H. Williams, Augusta Chronicle. 1. Approve selection of Bradshaw Consulting Services, Inc. (BCS) as the vendor for enhancement of Augusta's internet mapping capability in 2002, pending completion of final contract. I Mr. Blanchard: After reviewing proposals from several firms and viewing three demonstrations from vendors, the selection committee has decided to award the contract of re-engineering our internet mapping capability to Bradshaw Consulting Services, Inc. of Aiken, Sc. Bradshaw Consulting Services has other customers using the software that we intend to use, and in addition they have the capability to customize to work with our existing data. BCS has also won awards for its innovation in the areas of Public Safety, in addition to garnishing many awards from Microsoft and ESRI, the company that makes Augusta's GIS software of choice. There was approximately $28,000 approved from SPLOST funds. Mr. Shepard: I move for approval. Mr. Boyles: Second. Motion carries unanimously.
