PRESENT: B. Young, Mayor, L. Beard, Chairman, J. Brigham, M. Williams, S. Shepard,
members, S. Hatfield, Sheriff's Dept., L, Bonner, Clerk of Commission. .
ALSO PRESENT: T. Cox, Augusta Focus.
Clerk: We have a request for one addendum item:
Approval of purchase of services subcontract between Augusta-Richmond County
and Eloise Hodges to provide community service supervision services to juvenile
offenders.
Mr. Shepard: So move to add.
Mr. Brigham: Second.
Motion carried unanimously.
Approve the Security Committee be allowed to obtain competitive bids for the
acquisition of security equipment, not exceed $122,685. The equipment is to be
placed at the Municipal Building and the Joint Law Enforcement Center.
Mr. Williams: I would like to make a motiou that we approve allowing the
Committee to obtain competitive bids for acquisition of security equipment and be
brought back to the committee for bid award and final approval . .
Mr. Brigham: Second.
After further discussion,
Mr. Brigham: I would like to make a substitute motion to authorize the
rollover of2000 fuuding iu the amount of $122,685 and obtain competitive bids for
acquisition of security equipment.
Mr. Shepard: Second.
Motion to approve professional services agreemeut with the Chaplaiu for the
Richmond County Sheriff's Department.
Mr. Brigham: So move.
Mr. Shepard: Second.
Motion carried unauimously.
