Wall, Attorney; R. Few, Fire Chief; H. Siddall, Fleet Manager; R. Colclough, J. Brigham, Commissioners. ALSO PRESENT: S. Cooper, Augusta Chronicle; S. Eidson, Metro Spirit; Lena Bonner, Clerk of Commission; Belinda Brown, Clerk of Commissions office. Clerk: We have one addendum item: A request to award a purchase order for five (5) fire suppression pumper trucks for the Fire Department at a total cost of $1,249,995.00 (Bid #98-154). Mr. Mays: So move to add. Mr. Shepard: Second. Motion carried unanimously. I A request from the Fire Department to recognize the members of the Fire Department Competition Team for their outstanding accomplishments at the 2nd Annual Atomic City Festival Firefighters Competition. Mr. Shepard: So move to delete. Mr. Kuhlke: Second. Motion carried unanimously. A request from BiD Deau of Juvenile Court to approve the purchase of services grant for juvenile offenders. Mr. Wall: This is a grant from the state for $7,500 from the council of Juvenile Court Judges. Mr. Shepard: So move. Mr. Kuhlke: Second. I Motion carried unanimously. 1 A request to approve the purchase of services sub-contract between Augusta Richmond County and Leon Murray to provide counseling services to juvenile offenders. I Mr. Wall: This is a sub-contract between the county and Mr. Leon Murray to provide counseling services for juvenile offenders. Mr. Kuhlke: So move. Mr. Shepard: Second. Motion carried unanimously. A request from Pam Tucker, EMA Director to approve an agreement between GEMA and Augusta Richmond County for the use of digital radio in EMA office. Mr. Shepard: So move. Mr. Kuhlke: Second. Motion carried unanimously. I A request from the Fire Department to award a purchase order for five (5) fire suppression pumper trucks for the Fire Department at a total cost of $1,249,995.00 (Bid #98-154). Mr. Oliver: These will be leased through GMA over a seven (7) year period at about 1.4 %. Chief Few: We looked at the quality of the trucks and the service record and we are getting the top of the line trucks. Mr. Kuhlke: So move. Mr. Mays: Second. Motion carried unanimously.
