CLERK: We have a request for an addendum item; Approval of 12,200 square feet of Azrock vinyl composition floor tile at the Detention Center on Phinizy Road. Mr. Mays: So move. Mr. Brigham: Second. Motion ca~ried unanimously. I A request from the Sheriff's Department for approval to accept the second lowest bid from Kustom Electronics for radar at a cost of $17,970 (6 @ $2,995.00). MS. GIBBS: We have reviewed the specification and the lowest bid does not meet the specifications and the Fleet manager has reviewed them also. There was $3,300.00 set aside in the Capital Budget which we have not spent. And we also have money from a grant to purchase four (4) that we borrowed seed funds from. Mr. Zetterberg: So move. Mr. Mays: Second. Motion carried unanimously. A request from Juvenile Court for approval to purchase a Services Grant for juvenile offenders in the amount of $6,000 (No local match) . Mr. Zetterberg: So move. Mr. Mays: Second. Motion ca~ried unanimously. I A report from the Attorney on the Daily Jail population & Floor Assignments at the Fourth Street Jail Facility from the Richmond County Sheriff's Department. (For information purposes only) Mr. Mays: So move. I Mr. Zette~be~g: Second. Motion carried unanimously. A request from the Administrator to discuss replacement locks at the Joint Law Enforcement Center. MR. OLIVER: Our suggestion is to take a double look at the locks and if the double look warrants doing it, to rebid it. MR. TODD: What is the funding source? MR. OLIVER: The one cent sales have to take some from the half contingency because we will with this for that project. tax, however we're going to million dollar Phase Two exceed the contingency total MR. TODD: And some from Phase Three County Facilities. MR. OLIVER: No, I don't envision that at this point, assuming there are no change orders on this. MR. HANDY: How much is the consultant fee? MR. OLIVER: We haven't contracted with him yet. At this I point I would envision him coming in for one initial visit and look at basically the operations, I wouldn't envision him being involved 'in the design. The total cost should be less than $5,000.00 for his visit. Mr. Zetterberg: So move. Mr. Mays: Second. Motion carried unanimously. A request from the Sheriff's Dept., for approval of 12,200 square feet of Azrock vinyl composition floor tile at the Detention Center on Phinizy Road. CHIEF TOOLE: We contacted Mr. Oliver a couple of weeks ago about 12,200 square feet flooring that was left on Phinizy Road 'that needed to be tiled. We got some estimates including the people on site out there. Mr. Oliver instructed us to proceed with the Citizens Committee, which I did. Mr. Amerson could not be he~e to'day, but we got a unanimous recommendation from the Citizens Committee to proceed with tiling the 12,200 square feet of the facility, the cost was $13,138.00. This will complete us on floor covering. MR. OLIVER: I talked to the Citizens Committee on Friday, they recommended that this be done from a maintenance point of view I I and this was not included in the original bid. Mr. Zetterbe~g: I so move.
