Mr. Chairman: The meeting is called to order.
1. Communication from the Administrative Assistant of the Richmond
County Sheriff's Department with reference to bids for SVP 100 Watt
sirens for the Sheriff's Department cars. Recommend awarding the
bid to the second lowest bidder Emergency Equipment.
Magnum Police
Emergency Equipment
$16,445.00
$17,240.00
Ms. Gibbons: There is only a difference of $795. Magnum is
the lowest and only guarantees parts from the factory for twelve
months. And they are located in Atlanta. If we have a siren that
breaks we have to take it out of the car and then ship it to them.
That car is down for at least three or four days. Emergency
Equipment who is only $795 more guarantees parts and labor for a
year and will loan us a siren in the event that we have to have one
removed. Emergency Equipment is a local company.
Mr. Kulhke:
Equipment.
Mr. Ze t terber"g:
I move tha t we award the bid to Emergency
Second.
Motion carried unanimously.
Meeting adjourned.
