Discuss the possibility of using reprogrammed funds from Housing & Neighborhood Development Department to restore Senior Citizens Nutritional Programs that were eliminated due to budget cuts. (Requested by Commissioner Hankerson) Mr. Hankerson expressed his concerns about eliminating the Senior Citizens Nutritional Program through budget cuts. I Ms. White: If we put anything into CDBG Public Services at this point, we will probably exceed our cap. Mr. Beck: In our discussions with Ms. Riner they have indicated that even with the $85,000 cut they would still be able to continue the program on a four-day a week basis. I'm not sure if that included cutting out the homebound portion or not. Mr. Mays: Perhaps there is some way that this could come through HND by way ofUDAG funds. After further discussion, Mr, Kuhlke: I think the Administrator understands that this may be an alternative to look into and bring back to us within the 30-day period as to using some funding from Housing & Neighborhood Development in some form to help continue this program. Mr. Cheek: A motion that we receive this as information. Mr. Kuhlke: I'll second it. Mr. Kolb: We'll bring it back to you within thirty days.
