Brigham, Chairman; Kuhlke, Co-Chairman; Beard and Cheek, members; George KoLb, Administrator; Keven Mack, fIND Director; Rob Sherman, License & Inspections Director; Vanessa Flournoy, Staff Attorney; Leroy Sims, Coroner; Brenda Byrd Pelaez, Human Resources Director; Lena Bonner, Clerk of Commission. Also Present: Hons. Williams, Mays and Jerry Brigham, Commissioner. 1. Motion to approve the elimination of one Bus Operator IT position (grade 39) and the creation of one Cashier I position (grade 37). The Clerk: This was approved in Public Services. Mr. Beard: I so move. Mr. Cheek: Second. Motion adopted unanimously. I 2. Report from the Administrator regarding the development of a plan of action concerning the timeliness of money spent under the CDBG Program. (Referred from June 11 and May 29 Administrative Services meetings) Mr. Kolb reported that fIND is planning to spend about $2.7 million by November 1. He noted that some groups have experienced delays in spending their money because of various reasons, and that those who have not spent money are being pulled out and the money is being reallocated to other areas where a difference can be made. After further discussion, Mr. Beard: I move that this be accepted as information. Mr. Chairman: I second it to get it on the floor. Motion adopted unanimously. 3. Approve an Ordinance providing for the demolition of certain unsafe and uninhabitable properties in the Laney-Walker Neighborhood: 1250 Eleventh Street, (District 1, Super District 9); South Augusta Neighborhood: 959 Fourteenth Avenue, 1003 Fourteenth Avenue (District 2, Super District 9); and waive 2nd reading. I Mr. Cheek: I move for approval. Mr. Beard: Second. Motion adopted unanimously. I 4. Motion to change 1) a vacant Aquatics Program Specialist (pay grade 46) to Marketing and Resource Supervisor (pay grade 46), to change 2) a vacant Recreation Specialist III (pay grade 43) to Administrative Assistant III (pay grade 42), and to change 3) a vacant Maintenance Worker II (pay grade 37) to Work Detail Supervisor (pay grade 43). 1. 5.
