Brigham, Chairman; Powell, Vice- Chairman; Beard and Shepard, members; Jim Wall, Attorney; Randy Oliver, Administrator; Jerry Saul, Tax Commissioner; North Williamson, Tax Commissioner's Office; Lena Bonner, Clerk of Commission and Nancy Morawski, Deputy Clerk of Commissioner. Also Present: George Eskola ofWJBF Television, Stacey Eidson of The Metropolitan Spirit and Hons. Colclough and J. Brigham, Commissioners. A request to approve reclassification of Auditor I position to Assistant Deputy Clerk Tax Commissioner, was read. Mr. Shepard: I so move. Mr. Powell: I'll second it for some discussion. I know we've made some changes in some positions there and how does this affect that? I Mr. Saul: There won't be any financial impact. This is for the auditor who has been there for twenty years. He has taken on other responsibilities and is third in line in the office. Mr. Oliver: This will ultimately have a financial consequence because it will expand the bracket. Mr. McAdams is currently outside the bracket now and even though there may be no additional compensation currently, subsequently there will be some. I think that Mr. Etheridge needs to provide an analysis of this before any action can be appropriately taken. Mr. Beard: I'm reluctant to start moving things like this around at this time. Other departments may come and ask for similar action for their employees. Mr. Oliver: There will be some incremental increase in compensation next year because this will put him back into the range and make him eligible for merit and performance increases. Motion fails with Mr. Beard and Mr. Powell abstaining. ADJOURNMENT: There being no further discussion, the meeting was adjourned. I Lena 1.
